The first communication was opened on March 28, 1873, by Ex-Grand Master, Samuel Lawrence, of the Grand Lodge of Georgia. The stations were filled by: Rh. Who Bro. J. E. Redwine, Deputy Grand Master 3rd District Act. W.M. W. A. Wilson, Master Adamsville Lodge F&AM. S.W. S. W. Noland, Master Villa Lodge #72 Act. J.W. D. W. Price, Douglasville Lodge F&AM. Sec. J. P. McKelvey, Douglasville Lodge F&AM. S.D. S. N. McGouirk, Douglasville LodgeF&AM. J.D. J. M. Thomason, Douglasville Lodge F&AM. Tyler
The altar and officers' stations were made by J. C. Wright, a member. These were made in 1874 and it appears that they are the original ones that are in use today.
